The Milky Way rises vertically above the wall of the Teide Caldera, its luminous band stretching majestically across the night sky. In the foreground, Tenerife’s national flower, the red tajinaste, adds a vivid touch to the scene. The stars were captured with an astro-modified camera, while the foreground was recorded separately in a conventional exposure.
