The DeepSky gallery is dedicated to astronomical objects beyond our solar system. It features galaxies, nebulae, supernova remnants, and star clusters, photographed with long focal length and telescopes to reveal structures that are not visible to the naked eye.
The focus is on the detailed presentation of these objects. The images are created from many long-exposure shots, which are then combined to bring out fine structures.
A large portion of the photographs is taken at my private garden observatory in Rödermark under the light-polluted skies of the Rhine-Main area, as well as under very dark sky conditions, for example on the Teide volcano in Tenerife.
The use of specialized filters, precise tracking, and skilled processing of the captured image data allows the creation of detailed and expressive Deep-Sky images. DeepSky reveals the night sky in a depth that becomes accessible only through telescope systems and expert image processing.
