Mt. Bromo under the Midnight Sky
Magnificent view of the Milky Way over the Tengger Caldera in East Java, with the active volcanoes Mount Bromo at the center and Mount Semeru rising in the background. The photo was taken from the King Kong Hill viewpoint at an altitude of around 2,600 meters, looking down into the caldera floor at 2,000 meters. Mount Semeru, at 3,676 meters, is the highest mountain on Java.
