Milky Way Arch over the Tengger Caldera (King Kong Hill)
From the King Kong Hill viewpoint, the Milky Way stretches across the sky above the Tengger Caldera in East Java, with the smoking Mount Bromo at the center and Mount Semeru rising majestically in the background. Captured from an altitude of around 2,600 meters, the view looks down into the caldera floor at 2,000 meters. Mount Semeru, soaring to 3,676 meters, is the highest peak on Java.
