Moonlight illuminates the rising Milky Way above the Manado mainland, North Sulawesi (Indonesia). The image was captured with the Moon high in the sky, which beautifully lights the foreground. Despite the bright moonlight, the arch of the Milky Way remains clearly visible with good structure and detail. Due to the strong moonlight, the ISO value had to be significantly reduced. To the right, a soft glow from the city of Manado rises behind the hills. The photograph was taken from the island of Siladen.
