
A geomagnetic storm, triggered by a solar eruption, led to strong auroral activity on March 3, 2024, which was clearly visible despite the light pollution in Tromsø. The beautiful aurora tornado was briefly visible from our hotel (Ishavshotel Tromsø) and appeared directly above the famous Arctic Cathedral.
